Why are teeth sometimes referred to as "puppies" ?

Because "kittens" is kind of lame...

Why are teeth sometimes referred to as "puppies" ?
Uh, never heard of that. I know of other things being referred to as "puppies"--breasts come to mind. Not sure why I'm answering, sorry.
Reply:Are you sure they were looking at your Teeth when they said that?
Reply:The term "Puppies" is used for stuff usually in pairs. "Pearly whites" is usually what I hear for teeth. I don't know maybe in some other country they call teeth puppies. I live in America. Whoever told you this must not be.
Reply:I have heard this.......not to often, but its just slang. for example......you better brush them puupies b'for they they fall out. not necicerily callin your teeth puppies more or less just a filler word. Not sure if I helped. but thats all I could come up with
Reply:That "CROGA" is one smart PUPPY!

Why do I say that?

Because he said what I was going to say, only earlier and better.
