Puppy peed on my bed?

I have a 4 !/2 month old Golden Lab and she is getting more and more naughty in the house, I am at my witts end. She is turning very aggresive if we say no to her she shows her teeth and is jumping up to attack- she nips but has not bitten. I have tried flippy her on her back and holding her down and just makes her more angry. Today she got on my bed and peed on it. I told her no and naughty and put her down she jumped back up on the bed 3 times while I was trying to change it as if to say I am the boss not you. I live in Turkey and there are no training classes here. Also she loves cats and plays with them how she should play with dogs- but she is really scared off other dogs even a 3 month puppy she cried and wet the floor she was pettrified. What can I do !!!!!

Puppy peed on my bed?
When she growls or tries to nip IGNORE it, turn away and have nothing to do with her, the worst thing you can do is deprive her of your attention and she will soon stop this behaviour when she sees the consequences. Flipping her on her back may be making her think its all a game.

Please do not rub your dogs nose in its wee, this is not only very cruel it is totally not constructive, if you see your pup starting to wee, yell its name and get it outside asap. Your dog needs to know that you are pack leader, so make sure your dog sees you eat before it does, you walk through doors first, not the dog.

If all else fails you could always contact an animal behaviourist here through e-mail, a very good one is Roger Mugford. http://www.companyofanimals.co.uk/abc.ph...

Good luck.

Reply:your dog is from a BAD BREEDING.. i am assuming it is a golden retriever labrador retriever mix? hence, golden lab...

either breed should NEVER growl , show teeth especially at that young age..

i would contact the breeder and find out all you can about the parents... to see what you are dealing with... then repost and let us know..

remember temperament is genetic in dogs,, and if her parents are ill tempered,, she may be too.. no matter how you raise her.
Reply:puppy training books might help. Something bad might have happened to her as a baby that she associates with other dogs.
Reply:You said it she thinks she is boss.

Get a news paper and roll it up and use this to smack her with when she is bad but only on the nose.

You must teach her the meaning of NO and she need to know that you are boss
Reply:your dog is trying to work out where she stands in the household pecking order. You need to show her that you are top dog. you can do this by pretending to eat her food before you give it to her.

Sounds like she plays with the cats because she is used to them. take her to the park and slowly get her introduced to other dogs
Reply:When she pees, rub her nose it in and tell her "NO!" be really firm, tell her good girl when she does something you want.

When she nips smack her nose and tell her no.

You should try going to some dog parks if you have any, just try to socialize her with other dogs. If your friends have dogs, try play days... she'll get used to them after once she sees they arent a threat. She was probably scared because they were all bigger than her!
Reply:someone in the family should be alpha other wise it will walk all over you only reward good behaviour and only give it dog food it won't starve
Reply:Listen, I have a Yellow Lab who is aggressive to other DOGS. All u have 2 do is mean business. If she growls when u say no, Don't touch her, swatt her with a rolled up newspaper. It sounds mean, but that way when she growls, pull out the paper towel, and she'll stop, 'cuz she'll be afraid of the paper. Good Luck!
Reply:Check out http://www.zootit.com/283/ for some great tips and advice on how to stop it works quite well
Reply:Ok if she shows her teeth at you dont get nervouse or anything stand your ground. If she nips at you hit her on the nose not hard but not soft in the middle. And about the peeing problem thats happened to me put her on her leash and show her whatever she pees on tell her thats a bad dog and not to do it again if she does repeat the action.hope that helps
Reply:Try reading Lorenz "Man meets dog"
Reply:rehome the dog, because if it is showing you aggression at such an early age you are incapable of training it.
Reply:You need to be strong and make sure that your lab knows that you are the bos of the house hold. Labs can be very strong willed and nedd you to be firm for them to know there place.

She is trying to be boss of the house but doesn't know what to do out of the house.

You need to flip her on her back and keep her there until she calms and submits to you. Keep doing this until she completely submits.

Still stay with the NO! for naughty things and be firm.

Treat her when she does something good. (use her food to do this)

Yopu need to socialise her as much as you can with other dogs and don't react to her or touch her when she freaks out just stay calm.

First thing you need to do is let her know that you are the boss, be strict and firm.
Reply:If you dont want her to pee on your bed dont have her in your bed room. The temptation for young puppies is too much.

If she growls or bares her teeth swat her with a news paper becuase she will will learn the newspaper is bad. If she is good praise her lotsand make a huge fuss of her. When you get young puppies try to look at the parents to see if its in their nature. Read up as much as you can about it. One of my dogs called Flack, a border collie was exactly the same. Except as there are no men in our house hold he thought he was the man of the house. We had to teach him that my eldest dog Spartan was the boss.
Reply:you are the boss and that dear dog needs to know that but what ever you do dont hit it with your hand tap on nose with a newspaper some times you relay have to let them know who is boss you relay need to be firm with her because if you don't stop her now then she will rule you and that is not a good idea if she shows you her teeth then tap her on the nose with a newspaper don't hit her because that will just make her worse but I'm sorry you are going to have to be firm and tell her NO and mean it sounds to me as if the owners you got her from where bad breeders i teach my pups from a very young age to do as they are told i have never hit one of my pups but when they are very young i train them Ive never had any complaints about my pup Ive always had good report from those that buy a pup from me i don't think that it hurts them to now from a very young age as soon as my pups start to run around i train them and that is how it should be you need to train them and love them at the same time(reg breeder of bichon frise)
