Puppy's Appetite Changing?

My 7 month old puppy isn't eating his breakfast. Usually I feed him some breakfast, an afternoon biscuit, and then dinner. I feed him less than a cup of Iams and usually he finishes it in less than 2 minutes because he swallows his food, today he didn't even touch it! He's a 10lb. Giant Yorkie (no hes not fat, he just had big parents and at full grown, he should weigh around 15lbs.) Last night when I fed him dinner, he ate it with no problems. When, he didn't eat his breakfast, I gave him a biscuit to see if he had an appetite and he ate it, but when I put his food bowl down he took a couple of kibbles in his mouth and spit it out. What should I do? I think it's probably his teeth? I'm soaking his food in water for now...

He may be tired of the same thing for breakfast. Skipping one meal won't hurt him. I'm sure that he will eat tomorrow.

But for now, make sure that he eats his dinner, otherwise, he may be getting sick and you may have to take him to the vet. Just watch for signs of sickness.

Otherwise, skipping a meal, only one or two, won't hurt him.
Reply:Definately get him checked by a vet, it might be nothing, but it could be a throat problem, bad teeth, or he might have swallowed something that's causing internal problems, I've seen needles, thread, fishing hooks, all sorts.
Reply:It's completely normal at this age, he is not growing as fast and doesn't NEED as much food.

Don't encourage him to eat more than he will naturally, you'll either make him a picky eater or he'll get fat.

At his age he can be cut down to 2 meals a day anyways.
