I have a Malshih puppy. One of her molars is trying to fall out and it is stuck.?

My puppy is almost 6months old and she is having a hard time with her teeth when they come loose. She has been trying to get a molar out all day. Should I assist her in this process? She won't eat anything and her vet says that it is normal. Any suggestions?

Give her ice cubes to munch on. My pup had one of his pre-molars loose for a day, so close to falling out, I gave him an ice cube and out it came. The ice also helps to numb their sore gums, helps to relieve the pain. I also took some old dish cloths, soaked them in water, and froze them.... my pup loved to sink his teeth into the soft material, and again, the cold helps soothe their gums.

Encourage her to eat by softening up her kibble with a bit of water, or low-sodium beef broth.

Good luck!
Reply:don't bother her let her just ride it out she will be fine. but if she doesn't eat for like 2-4 days or whatever than i suggest you bring her to the vet and notify him that the molar wont come out and she wont eat. he will probably assist you and take it out or he will give you a nice liquid food until the molar falls out on it's own.
Reply:What's a Malshih? Oh! You mean a mixed breed. I wouldn't worry about it unless she hits 8-9 months and it still hasn't fallen out take her to get them pulled that's when tooth infections begin. All you can do is give her tasty hard chew treats to help with the teething and assist the tooth in falling out.
