A Crazy Bichon Puppy...help!?

Hi...we have a new addition to our family...a female bichon puppy. We had her for the past few weeks (she is now 11 weeks old). She's been pretty good up until the last week. She is out of control with the biting-biting everything (from couches to fingers). I understand that she is a puppy but it appears that she is trying to be the "alpha". She likes to growl when we play but it can turn aggressive b/c she won't let go. There are times where she will show teeth and I'm concerned that it will become aggressive behavior in the future. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

A Crazy Bichon Puppy...help!?
well tap her a little hard not really hard but lightly on her nose and say no!!!!that will teach her not to bite and if that dosent work you know it will be teething so get her chew toys
Reply:Sign up for classes. If you go to your local PetSmart, they offer them for a cheap price.
Reply:It's important with her showing dominace at this age to make sure that when she is growling and pulling that you win the fight. Never let her pull the toy from you or it shows that she is dominant of you. All puppies will show a form of play biting. Make sure that she is told no when biting anything you don't want her to be biting. Then you must give her something that is okay for her to bite. For example, when she is biting your finger say no and throw her favorite toy in the other direction. This gives her an outlet for the biting(because she is teething just like a human baby) and it gives her the idea that there are good things to bite and play with and bad things.

Hope this helps.
Reply:A firm NO. and give her things to chew on,she is a puppy and teething. Start training classes or get a good book to teach you how to go about training. Start with one command that is the most important and add a new one as she learns the one before really good. But other then a firm no, you have to control her. Good luck. l took my dog to classes. They were cheap and really help.
