Puppy Biting?

My puppy is a german shepherd and is about 11 weeks old. When ever she sees me, she always want to bite my ankle i mean all the time! Sometimes she tugs on my pants and i have to hold her neck for it too come off. Shes very energetic and we walk her about 3 times a day and sometimes one time a day but for long periods. I tried yelping and screaming when she bites but she doesn't stop. I also tried holding her muzzle, but she wanted to bite more. She doesn't play with her toys, but she only likes to chew the raw hide curl brut. Im planning to get a kong toy. I need help i dont want my puppy to bite my ankle and i know shes teething, but i tried everything but it doesnt work. SOmetimes she barks at me when she dosen't get the ankle. How do i teach her im aplha pack leader. *Her bite doesn't hurt, but when i react to it hurts me cause of her sharp teeth

Puppy Biting?
When my pup used to get over excited and bite I would put my hand over her neck, hold her down gently and say 'no biting' in a deep voice. I would then walk away and ignore her for a few minutes. No point chastising her and then patting her the next second.

This was recommended by a puppy trainer and based on how dog mothers discipline their pups.

good luck and have fun!
Reply:ok, first off, everyday at least once a day, turn the dog over on her back and rub her belly, this will instinctivily tell her your the alpha, next get her some uncooked real bones, from the butcher. she will chew on those so much she wont want anything else. if she still bites you ankles, try no response to it at all, just ignore it. if that doesnt work then everytime she does it put her directly in her cage...everytime though
Reply:awww shes just a puppy she'll stop soon. i suggest getting her a freind to waste more energy playing with. or harder food for her to chew. yeah any chew tow. our dog like pig ears, or at least i thought it was that. it was something ears. go to the pet store and see. she loved to chew on it. i also suggest soaking the bottom of ur pants and sox in something nasty tasting like lemon juice b4 u wash them, then put it on and let ur puupy try to chew, my guess she'll run away.
Reply:Remember that puppies like attention, even when it is negative, it is still attention! Try to be able to have small, yummy food rewards for good behavior and realy reward the heck out of good dog behavior. In time, her desire to get the goodies from you will win out over the naughty behavior. You can also separate her away from you any time she nips. Xpens can work quite well for this. You nip, into the Xpen you go. You must be a quiet girl to get me to take you out. Make sure that you reward with praise with a little yummy treat (small pieces of hot dog work great) any time you catch her being good and remove your affection and put a barrier that she can see you through between you so she puts it together that she really wants to be with you and that you have given her a clear and consistant picture of what she must do to gain your affection. Remember not to let TV interrupt your attention to her and rewarding her if she is being good.

It is a phase that will pass much more quickly if you have rewarding, easy to follow and consistant rules for them.

Good luck.
