How do i get my puppy to stop...?
I found the best way to stop this is a few things, one give him ice cube to help with the teething. It help to numb his gums so tehy don't hurt as much.

You want to redirect this behaviour to something he can bite and chew like a treat or a toy. When my pup was young everytime we'd catch him chewing on something he shouldn't or when he would bite us We'd tell him no in a stern voice then gave him a toy..after about a week he got the idea that he can bite and chew his toys only. You don't have to say no. But I found it helped.
Reply:lol same with mine. I use a squirt bottle and give her a little squirt in the face then give her what shes supposed to chew on...sometimes i have to play with her a little while after. plus the puppy is probably starting to teeth...so it may take a while
Reply:obedient school......the younger they go the better.
Reply:When he nips at you, yelp loudly and turn away from him for a few seconds. That's how puppies teach each other not to bite while they're still with their mothers. Every time he nips, yell and turn away from him. Just stop playing with him for a few minutes. He'll probably nose you and nudge you and want you to play again, but don't do it for at least a minute. Then go back to playing with him until he nips you again.

Don't punish him for nipping, though. Remember that the only way dogs have to play with each other is with their mouths and teeth, and so for the dog, nipping is natural. You have to patiently teach him not to do it, by letting him know that it hurts you - and you do that by yelping loudly and stopping the play.

Good luck!
Reply:This works. When he is in his mood to snap at fingers and hand. Put something on you hands or fingers that taste horrible to a dog. Tabasco sauce works. if you dont' want to use a sauce. try some black pepper. This really does work and will not hurt you dog. But for them to taste some horrible will keep them from wanting to bite that item again. It works to keep them from jumping on tables and counter tops also when they are big enough to reach. I have two labs. A litttle bit of black pepper keeps them away from things they want to grab...
Reply:GO TO TRAINING CLASSES
Reply:When he bites, grab his mouth and say "No" firmly. That stopped my dog from biting. Also give them an icecube to chew on.
