Do puppies lose their "baby teeth" and grow permanent teeth as humans do/?

yes they do, at about 4 to 5 months of age they will begin loosing their puppy teeth and growing in their adult teeth, during this stage they want to chew a lot. Most people think puppies are teething when they get them and that is not the case, it happens later. They should be done and have all adult teeth around 6 to 7 months old. If they have not lost their baby teeth by then, they will have to be extacted by your vet so they do not interfere with the adult teeth growth and cause problems in the mouth.

Reply:Yes
Reply:They certainly do. Usually around 4-6 mohts they loose their deciduous (baby) teeth and begin to get adult teeth. Its how we guesstimate a dog's age when the owner's aren't quite sure.
Reply:yes, our puppy just went through the process of losing his teeth over the past month or two. he's now 6 months old and has all of his adult teeth - which apparently, our vet told us, means he is pretty much full grown as well.
Reply:Yup! We got to save some of our dogs. We found them in her toys! Soo cute =).
