Puppy lost her first tooth!?

She's almost 6 month old and she's lost her first canine. Does this mean she's entering into adult hood?

Puppy lost her first tooth!?
It's probably not the first tooth - just the first one you noticed - this means shes getting older but not necessarily entering adulthood. You've got atleast a year, for some dogs 3 years) or puppy like energy and behavior. Kids lose their teeth too and that doesn't mean they are entering adulthood!
Reply:yep. she's losing her nursing teeth! congratz! =)
Reply:i guess..
Reply:it means she's growing up and losing her baby teeth. some breeds reach maturity slower than others. example...large breeds can take two years to be fully grown.
Reply:Are you sure ?? It seems to me that it means that she is slow.. Our puppies start losing their teeth approx 15 weeks or so..
Reply:Well, no. She will be an adult when she is a year old and starts going into heat regularly, but it does mean she is growing up. By the way, don't worry about the tooth, she should swallow it, and it will be harmless to her. Good luck with your puppy!
Reply:sure does! i found my puppy chewing on his canines when he first lost them. I was worried at first, but I found out that its kind of common for dogs to swallow their lost teeth. looks like your little baby is growing up!
Reply:yes it does and after a while more will fall out. good luck with your dog and she might swallow some of them b/c that is what my dog did and it if fine.
Reply:yup sure does!! she is losing her baby teeth
Reply:sure does...it always start in the front and works her way towards her molars
