Do puppies lose their teeth like people do? Mine lost one today.?

Yes they lose the baby teeth, which is great; can you imagine those sharp little things in the strength of a full grown mouth-OUCH! Also don't be alarmed if you find them missing from his/her mouth but can't locate them. It isn't uncommon for them to swallow them--don't worry no harm done, it will just "pass through". Just make sure that the puppy has something designed for puppies to chew on as this gives them comfort during this uncomfortable stage. I used to give wet rolled up frozen washclothes to mine...if you do this, watch him/her closely the whole time and take it away after about 10-15 minutes...the cold helps the pain but not so hard as ice to chip the little teeth that are left.

Yes pups loose all their teeth and their molars too.
Reply:dogs do lose their teeth!
Reply:yep

they go through teething just like people. My puppy just finished loosing her teeth.
Reply:Puppies lose their "milk teeth" that aren't sharp, but not as sturdy and strong as their adult teeth. Your puppy is fine, his adult tooth will come in now!
Reply:Yes. Dogs and cats both lose their baby teeth. I had a cat that would get on my lap and spit it out to show me. It was so cool I kept them, just like I kept my son's.
Reply:Yeah they do....they lose their baby teeth just like you or I did when we were little. Often, they end up swallowing them or they just spit them out somewhere.
Reply:Yes because when dog teeth begin to replace puppy teeth, the incisors come in first followed by the canines (fangs), then premolars. Teething can be frustrating for your puppy and for you. Puppies want to chew on everything to aid in the teething process. He may chew on your expensive leather chews, your furniture, and even your children’s toys. All this chewing is just an attempt to relieve discomfort. Your dog may also drool excessively, be irritable, or show fluctuations in his appetite.
Reply:yes its very natural when in the process of growing
Reply:Yes, That's perfectly normal. Puppies go through that stage. It kinda scared me the first time that happened but it's a normal part of them just growing up. That makes room for their adult teeth just like us.
Reply:yes pup's lose there teeth i still have some of my akita's teeth the only dog i had that i actually found his teeth all my other dogs i have no idea where they went
Reply:of course they do. they have milk teeth too.
Reply:yes they do and your puppy might have already lost a couple teeth cause usually dogs swallow their loose teeth (once the tooth comes out) but yes they do lose their teeth so they can grow their adult teeth
Reply:Yep definately. That's how they get their big teeth like adults have. My puppy broke all her teeth on pegs (note to puppy owners : keep pegs away from dog) but they fell out and were replaced by big strong teeth!!
Reply:yes they do, they tend to swallow them. althought when my dog lost her first tooth we found it. awww how sweet.
